As seen at the Young V&A
We’re delighted to be part of Inside Aardman: Wallace & Gromit and Friends at the Young V&A in Bethnal Green. Celebrating Aardman’s 50th anniversary, the exhibition explores how these much-loved characters are brought to life, from first sketch to final frame.
A Saltdean 2 seater sofa, upholstered in our exclusive V&A Threads of India Opulent Velvets Ikat Mirage in Rouge features within the space, echoing the familiar look and feel of Wallace & Gromit’s living room.
Threads of India: Opulent Velvets
Inspired by historic textiles from the V&A’s South Asia collection, Threads of India: Opulent Velvets draws on a rich range of sources - from palampores to garments - reimagining ikat, paisley and Mughal motifs on sumptuous velvet.
Threads of India
Threads of India celebrates the richness and storytelling of Indian, Persian and South Asian textile traditions. Drawing on garments, palampores and ceremonial cloths, ikat, paisley and Mughal motifs are reinterpreted on a refined linen blend, the collection is designed for use across upholstery and soft furnishings.
Drawn from Nature
Inspired by late 19th-century wallcoverings, textiles and illustrations from the V&A archives, Drawn from Nature brings together a heart-warming mix of flora and fauna from the British Arts and Crafts movement. Designs by William Morris, John Henry Dearle and Thomas Wardle are reimagined in contemporary colourways and scale for modern interiors.
Brompton Collection
Inspired by the V&A archives and the horticultural history of its South Kensington site, the Brompton Collection brings together botanical studies, chintzes and decorative motifs in a versatile fabric collection, suited to upholstery and soft furnishings.
Inspired by the V&A archives
From global textile traditions to British design heritage, our V&A collections translate historic sources into fabrics for modern living. Each design reflects a considered approach to pattern, colour and scale, created to feel distinctive, usable and enduring.
